The stainless-steel case measures 37 mm in diameter and retains the signature octagonal form paired with a 14-sided bezel, a defining trait of early Defy models that earned them nicknames such as bank vault or bolt. The case construction follows the re-engineered architecture introduced with recent Defy Revival editions, offering improved sealing and durability while maintaining the sharp facets and compact stance of the original. Water resistance is rated to 30 ATM, consistent with the Defy collections historic emphasis on resilience.

The sunray-finished silver dial has been recreated through high-precision scanning of an original vintage example, ensuring fidelity to the proportions and surface treatments of the 1969 reference. Applied hour markers feature a distinctive two-tier structure, with a satin-brushed upper surface elevated above glossy black-lacquered recesses, creating a pronounced sense of depth and contrast. Rhodium-plated, faceted hands and luminous blocks filled with Super-LumiNova ensure legibility, while the central seconds hand is highlighted by a vivid orange rectangular segment, a functional accent that enhances visibility and introduces subtle dynamism to the otherwise restrained layout.

Unlike the solid caseback of the original model, the Defy Revival A3643 features a sapphire display back, revealing the automatic Elite 670 manufacture movement. Operating at 4 Hz and delivering a power reserve of approximately 50 hours, the calibre displays hours, minutes, central seconds, and a date positioned at 4:30. The movement is fitted with an openworked oscillating weight bearing the Zenith star motif, offering a contemporary view of a calibre that balances robustness with refined finishing.
