Spot The Difference: Zenith Chronomaster Sport Vs. Daytona

Just recently, Zenith introduced its new Chronomaster Sport El Primero. We take a look at this chronograph and compare it to the obvious competitor: the Daytona.In this video, we talk about the new Zenith Chronomaster Sport with El Primero caliber 3600 and the elephant in the room. Is it too similar to the Daytona, or is it different enough to make a comparison with the Daytona pointless? The Zenith Chronomaster Sport is using ingredients from its past models (DeLuca, for example) but also brings some new elements to the table.Zenith Chronomaster SportTo us, the main attraction is in the El Primero movement. This caliber 3600 is a wonderful movement, with historical significance, and can be admired through the sapphire case back of the Zenith Chronomaster Sport.The finishing on the case and bracelet is a combination of brushed and polished surfaces. As you can see in the video and pictures, the black ceramic bezel has a 1/10th of a second scale to give you an exact readout of the elapsed time. The colored subdials are a wonderful reminder of those first El Primero watches. We wouldn t mind seeing them more in the future, as it sets the El Primero apart. The date is located at 4:30. It might be not to everyone s liking, but we find it rather palatable. The Zenith Chronomaster Sport retails for $10,000 and can be ordered online directly from Zenith.The bracelet of the Chronomaster Sport is comfortable and the Zenith signed clasp has a safety lock.
