On January 13th, we hosted our first Speedy Tuesday event for 2026 in Hong Kong. With about 80 guests, we celebrated the day that became synonymous with the Omega Speedmaster in the world of watches. Since 2013, weve been organizing events worldwide for collectors and enthusiasts of Omega s most famous chronograph.Our second Speedy Tuesday event in Hong KongIn close collaboration with Omega, we selected Hong Kong as our first destination for this year. We already had a Speedy Tuesday event there in 2019 and thought it would be about time to go there again. The guests were able to go hands-on with these watches, including the gold commemorative Speedmaster that astronaut Gordon Cooper owned.Reverse PandaBesides the talk on flown Speedmasters, there was also the introduction that day of the two new Omega Speedmaster Professional Reverse Panda models (which we covered here). These new additions to the Moonwatch family were warmly received by the Speedy Tuesday audience.Although some had already seen leaked images online before the event, they said that seeing and trying the watches in real life made a difference. The double-plate dial construction adds depth, and the glossy dial with applied indexes made quite an impression on the attendees.The gold version was less of a surprise, or it should have been, because enthusiasts had already spotted it on the wrist of Colman Domingo during the Met Gala last year (we posted about it here). This gold version was examined with a lot of enthusiasm from the crowd, as its a standout piece, but so is the price tag, of course.
