While the 5970 was originally launched in 2004, the 5970P-001, with its platinum case and deep black dial, didn't see the light of day until BaselWorld 2009. I have only had mine for a few weeks. I like it's looks, it keeps accurate time. However the leather wrist band feels a little weak. Time will tell if it holds up!

This is a BEAUTIFUL watch and gets lots of compliments. It looks much more expensive than it is. It is large, but that is what makes a statement.
