The Omega Speedmaster Alaska Project (reference 311.32.42.30.04.001) is a limited edition of 1970 pieces introduced in 2008 to commemorate the original Alaska Project prototype. It features a bright white dial with special hands for the minute and hour counter. It was delivered with a special red anodized aluminum protective casing, a velcro strap and a stainless steel bracelet.

Beautiful watch! I love it. EXCEPT it stops working when it flips upside down. To most people this is not an issue, but if tilted a little bit past upright the mechanics stopped, thus not being able to keep accurate time. In one case I tilted it back up and had to flick the watch to get it moving again.

Very impressed with this watch. I like it better than my Fossil watch very similar. Wish the latch mechanism was different and the back light stayed on a bit longer but great watch.
