I guess taking this swimming is probably the height of decadence.Inside beats the brand s in-house caliber 945, featuring hours, minutes, a zodiacal calendar with the date and month, a rotating star chart, and a tourbillon that completes one rotation every sidereal day (23 hours, 56 minutes, and 4 seconds). This precision mirrors the actual rotation of the Earth relative to the stars rather than the Sun. A cathedral-gong minute repeater, enhanced by patented trebuchet hammers, adds an acoustic dimension to the already overwhelming experience. No fewer than nine layers of enamel form the continents, while 17 layers of lacquer give depth to the oceans.As the mechanism drives the map in a 24-hour rotation, the continents and oceans slowly turn along with the city ring, representing a real-time view of the world in motion. The flying tourbillon orbits the dial once per day, becoming part of the global display rather than remaining in a fixed position. What sets this interpretation of a worldtimer apart from others is that the domed and layered dial structures literally add another dimension.Master Grande Tradition Calibre 948 specificationsLogically, this Master Grande Tradition model houses Jaeger-LeCoultre s caliber 948, composed of 388 parts and 42 jewels, ticking at 28,800 beats per hour with a 48-hour power reserve. The 43mm by 14.13mm case is finely finished with a mix of polishing, satin brushing, and microblasting. As with the Hybris Artistica, this model is ready to take swimming, but please dont.Caliber 948 combines a worldtimer function with a tourbillon. The mechanism rotates the entire world map, city ring, and tourbillon once every 24 hours. You can operate the worldtimer function via the single crown, allowing time to be adjusted in one-hour increments.
