Welcome to another on-location episode of Fratello Talks, this time from the Watch Valley event in Utrecht, where the Swatch Group unveiled its latest novelties for 2025. In attendance were Nacho, Daan, and RJ, keen to get a full preview of the year s releases from the brands present. The event was packed with exciting novelties from Hamilton, Tissot, Rado, Certina, Balmain, and, for the first time, Mido. Lets kick things off with the wrist check. This futuristic piece, with its sleek ceramic case and vibrant hue, is certainly not one you d typically expect RJ to gravitate towards. But what can we say? He s always full of surprises.Daan chose the Tissot PRC 100 Solar with a silver dial. Its clean, sporty aesthetic and solar-powered movement made it a practical yet stylish companion for the day.Nacho, having worn his Khaki Field Auto to the event, stuck with the brand and went bold with the Hamilton Intra-Matic in black DLC with orange accents, a stealthy, vintage-inspired chronograph with a modern twist.ScreenshotSwatch Group Releases 2025 - Live from UtrechtThe Watch Valley event delivered a brand-by-brand showcase of the Swatch Groups latest creations. Here are some highlights:Rado continued its ceramic innovation streak with new additions to the Anatom line, including RJs lime-green model. The brands commitment to futuristic design and material science remains a standout. Tissot impressed with its solar-powered lineup, including Daans PRC 100 Solar. The brand also teased several under-embargo releases that promise to shake up the mid-range market later this year.Hamilton brought a mix of heritage and modern design. While many novelties were still under wraps, the Intra-Matic and updated Khaki Field Auto models were front and center. The special release we didn t talk about then was the American Classic Boulton Death Stranding 2: Limited Edition.Certinas 2025 lineup includes the new DS-X GMT, a 41mm stainless steel model with dual bezels and a 200m depth rating. This quartz-powered GMT offers a relatively affordable yet rugged take on a well-equipped tool watch. The brand also introduced a revised DS Action Diver 40.5mm, which meets ISO 6425 standards and incorporates Certinas reinforced DS concept. This includes a floating movement mount, improving shock resistance and durability.Making its debut at the Watch Valley event, Mido surprised attendees with the all-new Multifort 8 Two Crowns. This 40mm stainless steel sports watch features a sleek integrated bracelet or rubber strap, a dual-crown setup for bezel control and time-setting, and a slim 9.5mm profile. Available in matte black, blue, or gray-green, it combines 70s-inspired design with modern practicality.This is only a small taste of what we saw there.
