Today, RJ, Morgan, and Nacho come together to chat about some of their favorite watches released this week. We ll feature highlights from Oris, Doxa, Laurent Ferrier, MB&F, and more! Change cookie settings Wrist checkToday, we start with Morgan, who is test-driving a silvery-taupe-dialed Omega Aqua Terra. To be specific, he s wearing the reference 220.10.38.20.09.001, which is a 38mm model from the new Shades collection. This model has a sandstone colored dial, which is far more subtle in person than the brand s website would have you believe. It s the Fratello Aquastar Deepstar II with a light pink dial. He borrowed the watch over the weekend as an appropriate choice for a viewing of Barbie. It turned out that wearing this watch was the highlight of the experience. Despite enjoying the film and its innovative use of sets and cinematography, he found that its corporate affiliations and efforts to appeal to a broader public didn t allow its director to fully take the film or its message where she might have otherwise. Regardless, the watch (and its slightly more subdued shade of pink) continues to be great! And we love seeing your wrist shots popping up as they begin to be delivered to those who purchased one.Finally, RJ is wearing his funky Ebel Sport Classic Chronograph and giving off some Miami Vice vibes. This is his most recent watch purchase, and after a quick service in the capable hands of a local watchmaker, it s back and ready for a two-tone honeymoon.Our favorite Geneva Watch Days releasesAfter a relatively sleepy month of August, we are faced with a deluge of new watches. Geneva Watch Days marks both the end of summer and the beginning of a new wave of watch releases. This week, we discuss some of them, focusing on a few of our highlights. We kick things off with Morgan s favorite watch, which is the new Doxa Sub 300 Sharkhunter. An eclectic mix of ceramic, 18K gold, and plenty of ton sur ton action, it certainly is unique. Another favorite was the big, bold Oris AquisPro 4000m. Taking the Aquis to the extreme, this is a watch that s hard not to be charmed by. Kudos to Oris for going all the way with this one. It was not the only release from the H?lstein brand, which also debuted the Artelier S and Aquis Bracenet models. RJ also has some praise to send MB&F s way for the new HM9-SV models in yellow and white gold. Other highlights include the Ulysse Nardin Blast Free Wheel Marquetry, the Czapek Place Ved?me Complicite, and the Laurent Ferrier Serie Atelier V Sport 40.
